Dangerous situation example

A dangerous situation can be illustrated in the example of a gun being fired in an industrial hall, an accident during a night shift, a fight between employees in the locker room, the theft of equipment at night, and other situations.

Building security notices on the security camera screens a strange situation where people are running away from the building or, contrary to the normal operating situation, are clustered in different locations on the factory floor or throughout the building.

Building security alerts the police, who arrive too late to prevent the attacker from further shootings and loss of life.

The first time an unexpected situation such as a fire from a weapon happens, the SED immediately responds and sends a signal to the operation center or directly to facility security/police.

When alerted, the security guard checks the screens from the security cameras, assesses the situation, and immediately intervenes.

The quick reaction of the building security ensures that the emergency forces arrive on the scene in time.

Software compatibility

SED comes with its own dedicated security software (VMS) free of charge, but is compatible with other third-party VMS for direct integration with the camera system via API (ONVIF/RestAPI) and also mechanically thanks to an integrated relay.

With JALUD Embedded, we implemented Sound Event Detectors as part of a proof of concept to extend security situational awareness for critical infrastructure and high-risk outpatient facilities of the University Hospital Pilsen. The detection system was tested after deployment by JALUD Embedded s.r.o. at several locations (with successful detection of actual shooting). This year we are implementing its extension to other locations. The system is integrated with the MKS into one surveillance system and the alarms have become an important source of information for the city/state police in ensuring security in the city environment. The undeniable advantage of this solution is the ability to identify and locate the incident site in real time in map documents and to send the nearest intervention unit to the scene of the incident, while monitoring the surroundings of the site with city cameras.
