Detects the area at 360°

SoundEventDetector (SED) automatically detects the area at 360° and reacts to a dangerous situation within 5 seconds. This significantly reduces the response time of security forces, which on average is up to 7 minutes. Thanks to SED, the emergency call is digitized, making it faster and more accurate.

Software compatibility

SED comes with its own dedicated security software (VMS) free of charge, but is compatible with other third-party VMS for direct integration with the camera system via API (ONVIF/RestAPI) and also mechanically thanks to an integrated relay.

No-limitation usecase

The SED detector can be used both indoors and outdoors. It's thanks to the well-crafted case.

100% GDPR compliant

The use of SED is GDPR compliant. Our solution does not record sound, it only sends meta-information, so it cannot identify a specific person and misuse personal data.

Special SED detectors, which can detect the sounds of gunshots, panicked screams and shattering glass on the street, have proven themselves again in the center of Pilsen. One of the detectors alerted an operational officer of the city police to a possible incident in Pilsen on Americká Street.

“We have already tested the sensors on Americká Street and in real operation we have been convinced that they really work. Currently, they are able to detect gunshots, panic screams and glass breakage with a very high level of reliability – for example, when a shop window is broken by vandals or thieves. Plzeň received a grant of CZK 550,000 from the Ministry of the Interior for the project of deploying SED detectors for gunshots, panic cries and glass breakage. With JALUD Embedded, we implemented Sound Event Detectors as part of a proof of concept to extend security situational awareness for critical infrastructure and high-risk outpatient facilities of the University Hospital Pilsen. The detection system was tested after deployment by JALUD Embedded s.r.o. at several locations (with successful detection of actual shooting). This year we are implementing its extension to other locations. The system is integrated with the MKS into one surveillance system and the alarms have become an important source of information for the city/state police in ensuring security in the city environment. The undeniable advantage of this solution is the ability to identify and locate the incident site in real time in map documents and to send the nearest intervention unit to the scene of the incident, while monitoring the surroundings of the site with city cameras.
